Born in February 1982, Istanbul / Turkey. After completing his education at Eskişehir University, Doruk Seymen worked with advertising agencies on photography and visual designs for a while. Doruk Seymen had stepped into the professional life of photography in 2006 and had many photo shootings with various brands in the following years. He completed his 18 months of education at NYIP (New York Institute of Photography). Doruk Seymen, who commenced shooting photos for Doğan Burda Corporate Magazine Group in 2010, is currently providing service to various magazines and brands along with his company. After shooting a documentary film about Syrian Refugees in 2016, he performed his personal exhibition named “Dom and Abdal from Syria to Gaziantep” in the building of European Council in Strasbourg, France. After that, he won the second prize in the International Competition of “Lost Rights, Found Justice?” organized by Human Rights Consortium / University of London. Doruk Seymen, whose greatest passion is nature, produces new projects with his collaborators he constantly works with, travels to lesser known regions of Anatolia and combines the experimental photography with his fictions.
